Fabulous post (and boots) Jackie, thank you. Its so lovely to look back in gratitude as you have, and remember how and what has shaped us. Your lovely words serve as a reminder to not give up on what you feel called to do in life.
Thank you so much for saying this, Nicola. It’s always nerve wracking to share a personal story but humbling to know it has indeed connected with readers. I certainly never gave up lol! (& I’ll be wearing the boots this weekend!)
Ooo those boots! A poignant read as you have reflected on your experience but lovely for us to hear more of your story and recall our own steps into adulthood.
Wow - there was a lot to unpack from today's post, Jackie. In fact, it made me a bit weepy because I recognise those feelings experienced when you see an old photo of your younger self, taken at a time when you felt fierce and invincible. Where did she go to? I actually hate having my photo taken now, it feels like a form of torture to me. Which goes some way towards explaining why I present myself as a panda-hugging toddler in all my social media profiles. But, on a lighter note - fab boots!!!

Absolutely loved this - it’s the story of a million women looking to the future to spend a lifetime looking at the past ♥️

Thanks, Sian! Yes, a reflective piece on some of the steps that led to here. I love my boots!!

It can be a shock or maybe a jolt …but also the opportunity to reconnect with that energy! And those boots did help!!!
