Oh, thank you, Hazel! That means a lot to me. As a writer, you never quite know what is connecting or not and it's lovely to hear that this is helpful in some way! In case you don't want to click on it - the tip jar starts at £3, or you can input any amount you want! Cheers! x x
Great post, and voice over, as always. Especially enjoyed the bonus feature about finding the magic, and being open to taking a story in an unexpected direction.
Yes, please give us a post about your experience with the professional editor. I'm a freelance science editor, and although many of my professional skills have proven transferable for editing the short stories that I write, there's no way that I'm sufficiently qualified or experienced to charge somebody money to edit their novel. So, how/where do you find a reputable novel editor?
“The story will await your discovery of the magic.”
I love this! It’s such a magical experience when the story takes on a life you weren’t expecting. Almost like it was meant to be a certain way and needed your specific voice to help it take shape.
So helpful and inspiring! Thank you so much! Will definitely be heading to the tip jar once finances allow! 💕

Thank you! Yes, I think that is true and we notice it the more we write, I think.
